Welcome to the Driving Times Magazine

I hope everyone enjoyed our premier edition of The Driving Times. The feedback we have received since the launch has been phenominal and we will strive to make the publication better each issue. Our goal is to provide readers with what I like to refer to as "usable information", plus feature articles covering some of your favorite leisure time interests.

The Mid-America Truck Show was a tremendous success. We appreciate the kind words and compliments from all the people who stopped by our booth. As usual, our annual Mid-America Truck Show Sweepstakes was one of the most popular attractions at the show. We literally gave away over $30,000 worth of products from some really outstanding product sponsors. which included Ambest, Speedco, On-Site Oil Analysis, Sears Seating, Qualitex Seating & Mfg., Link Mfg., FASS (Diesel Performance), TVT 24-7 (NRG Resources), Road Gear, Nautical Air, Tru-Balance, FireStik Antenna, Clean Fire Additives, Save-A-Load, Phoenix USA, Maxx Air, JOTTO Desk, OnSpot, Zephyr Sales Co., and Radiator Saver. LLC. All of our sponsor's participation is greatly appreciated and because of them, we are able to give back to the industry.

Ambest and Lucas Oil teamed up to give away six booklets which contained TWELVE full service oil changes in each booklet.........oil changes for at least an entire year! It doesn't take a math professor to calculate the value of each booklet to be in the neighborhood of between $2500 and $3000 each! With diesel prices escalating to all-time highs, I guess it comes as no suprise that the winners were some extremely excited people. The lucky winners of the oil change booklets were Angie Benner, Daleville, IN; Bradley Smith, Hope, IN; Roberta Henson, Wellston, OH; Roger Allen, Hamilton, OH; and Karon LeClaire, Foristell, MO.

Bud Newport of Waynesburg, OH, who claimed he had never one anything his whole life, was the happy winner of the leather seat from Sears Seating. Gerald Kramer from Boonesville, AR won the very unique seat from Qualitex.

This issue kicks off the Great American Truck Show Sweepstakes with drawings to be held in Dallas, TX, at the show, August 21-23. You can mail in an entry form found in the sweepstakes section of this issue, or go online and register at The Driving Times Magazine Website.
